Quarterly Announcements - Q4 2017

From the CEO’s desk

Gilbert Hakim, SCC’s CEO, is pleased to provide this quarterly update.

It has been a busy year, both domestically and internationally, as SCC Soft Computer continues our expansion into the global market, in particular Europe, Asia, South America, and Australasia/Oceania. SCC’s healthcare IT solutions are now live at locations across North America (USA and Canada), the Caribbean (Jamaica and Haiti), South America (Brazil), Europe (France and Wales), Asia (Singapore and Indonesia), and Australasia/Oceania (Australia). We look forward to reporting additional new client locations throughout Europe and the Middle East in the near future.

SCC continues to be driven to meet new and higher expectations within the global healthcare community. We are excited about the opportunity to continue to meet with the healthcare industry’s top leadership, discuss the future needs of the healthcare marketplace, and position SCC Soft Computer to deliver worldwide solutions that benefit both our domestic and international partners.

As 2017 comes to a close, I would like to offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of SCC’s valued clients for your continued support and for giving SCC the opportunity to be your LIS and genetics information management system solution vendor of choice. SCC would not be where we are today without your confidence in us. Because of you, SCC is setting the standard for healthcare information technology. We continue to be an industry leader because of partnerships with our valued clients. Thank you for choosing SCC Soft Computer as your LIS vendor and for the critical, lifesaving work you perform every day. We are proud to be on this journey with you and look forward to many years of success.

Wishing all of SCC’s clients and their families, SCC’s staff and their families, and our business partners a joyous and safe holiday season and a happy and prosperous New Year.

SCC is pleased to provide this update from RCM Enterprise Services (RCM).

RCM Enterprise Services®
Watch us grow!

RCM Enterprise Services Inc., a revenue cycle management company, is growing according to Sherri D’Anna, Operations Manager for RCM.

  • RCM has modified the original RCM operations center, located across from SCC Soft Computer’s world headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, to accommodate an expanded call center, billing operation, and production centers, including IT to support the overall billing operations.
  • RCM has doubled their number of revenue cycle specialists in the last six months making 2017 all about positive changes. RCM’s growing staff—with their combined years of experience and expertise—has helped make 2017 a successful year for the company and their clients. We anticipate continuing this trend into 2018 … and beyond.

The idea for RCM Enterprise Services as a new revenue cycle management company began in 2008 with Mr. Gilbert Hakim, CEO of SCC Soft Computer. Having the desire to create a separate company, Mr. Hakim envisioned using SCC’s SoftA/R® billing and accounts receivable information system to establish a professional outsource billing company. Mark Droste, Managing Director for RCM, wanted to take it a step further and provide clients with multiple SCC technologies as well as the connectivity needed to build a profitable outreach business.

Today, RCM offers hospital, commercial, pathology, and genetics laboratories scalable solutions and pricing platforms that include EMR connectivity, business intelligence reporting, healthcare CRM, courier tracking, and a professional billing service staffed with certified medical coders and AR specialists.

From the beginning, RCM’s mission has been to deliver improvement to the revenue cycle process by being a single source provider of technology and services that build upon making the partnership a pleasant, efficient, and profitable experience in a very complicated and sensitive market.

SCC Soft Computer … In the News

SCC Soft Computer, a member of the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame since 2012

In 2008, Training magazine established the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame to recognize those companies that have held Top 10 spots in the Training Top 125 for four consecutive years. Since then, 18 companies have been inducted into the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame: Booz Allen Hamilton, Capital Blue Cross, CHG Healthcare Services, Deloitte LLP, Ernst & Young, Farmers Insurance, General Mills, Inc., IBM, Jiffy Lube International, Inc., KLA-Tencor, KPMG LLP, McCarthy Building Companies, Microsoft Corporation, Pfizer/Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, SCC Soft Computer, and Verizon.12

Because SCC was ranked in the Training Top 10 for four consecutive years—including two Training Top 5 rankings—(2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011), the company was invited to join this elite group of industry titans. SCC Soft Computer was inducted into the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame in February 2012, along with computer software giant, Microsoft Corporation. We are proud to be a member in good standing of this elite group.

12Pfizer/Wyeth, Microsoft, and General Mills have since dropped out of the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame.

Training Top 10 Hall of Fame Outstanding Training Initiative

Each year, the members of the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame participate in a recognition program—the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame Outstanding Training Initiative (TT10HOF OTI)—and must submit a training program that was implemented in the past year.

The purpose of this program is to demonstrate the thought leadership and training innovation as the “best of the best” and offers other organizations an example of what they should be striving for with their training programs. The initiatives can then be used as benchmarks when judging the submissions for the annual Training Top 125. The TT10HOF OTI gives Hall of Famers the opportunity to share with each other their challenges and solutions.

The program also serves to “requalify” Hall of Famers. As learning leaders move on and organizations change, it’s important to demonstrate that Hall of Famers still deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, even after a number of years.

The members of the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame judge each other’s applications by the following criteria:

  • Level of potential business impact (e.g., revenue generation, new product launch, change initiative, new technology launch)
  • Level of difficulty of challenges faced
  • Project scope (e.g., companywide, individual functions, global vs. national, etc.)
  • Instructional design (i.e., learning objectives linked to business outcomes; level of leadership involved in design, development, and facilitation; reinforcement)
  • Innovation of training
  • Business outcomes achieved/expectations met

As a member of the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame, SCC Soft Computer was recently featured in the November/December 2017 issue of Training magazine—in both the print and digital editions. SCC’s submission for the 2016 TT10HOF OTI was our GROW to the Top training initiative. The goal of our GROW program was to improve SCC’s support audit scores and become the number one audited support organization in the SCP Standards Program. The result of this initiative was an improved score on the 2016 audit—making SCC the number one support organization in the 2016 audit program!

Click here to read about SCC’s 2016 TT10HOF OTI: GROW to the Top.

SCC’s award-winning Educational Services (EDS) team submitted the company’s 2017 TT10HOF OTI in early November. We are awaiting the results of the judging, but expect that the outstanding training initiative we submitted will be well received by our peers and the staff of Training magazine. The top three initiatives will be featured in the January/February 2018 issue of Training, along with the winners of the 2018 Training Top 125.

We are very excited about the initiative we submitted for consideration and look forward to sharing our success with one of our newest transformational programs, our global SCALE: STAFF CAPABILITY AUGMENTATION LEVERAGE initiative.
