From the CEO’s desk

Clearwater, Florida (March 27, 2017)—Gilbert Hakim, SCC’s CEO, is pleased to provide this quarterly update.

It’s hard to believe that we’re already at the end of Q1 2017. It has been a busy year so far, as SCC Soft Computer continues our expansion into international markets, in particular Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. As the world’s largest laboratory and genetics information system software vendor, we continue to be driven to meet new and higher expectations within the global healthcare community. We are excited about the opportunity to continue to meet with the healthcare industry’s top leadership, discuss the future needs of the healthcare marketplace, and position SCC Soft Computer to deliver worldwide solutions that benefit both our domestic and international partners. We are pleased to have new clients and partners in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. We look forward to reporting additional new client locations throughout Europe and the Middle East in the near future.

RISE and SCALe

SCC’s new Vice President of Regulatory, QA, and Global Implementation Services, Patrice JC Nedelec, CSM, CSPO, CAL, CMQ-OE, CBA, CQA, is sponsoring several bold, new initiatives designed to empower us to build a global, cross-functional, company-wide team that will transform and simplify just about everything we do.

These initiatives are an integral part of our continuing goal to strengthen our global workforce as we reinvest into our commitment to be the world’s largest laboratory and genetics information systems vendor and get closer to the rollout of our new 5.0 suite of products. I look forward to reporting on the success of these initiatives and welcome your feedback.

Regulatory Affairs News

Clearwater, Florida (March 27, 2017 – SCC Soft Computer is pleased to announce that Mr. Patrice JC Nedelec, CSM, CSPO, CAL, CMQ-OE, CBA, CQA, joined the SCC team in January as our new Vice President of Regulatory, QA, and Global Implementation Services, reporting directly to Mr. Gilbert Hakim, SCC’s Chief Executive Officer.

Patrice JC NedelecIn his role as Vice President of Regulatory, QA, and Global Implementation Services, Mr. Nedelec is responsible for the regulatory compliance and QA of software development for the entire organization, including our development centers. He will also provide executive sponsorship for new client installations and customer satisfaction.

Mr. Nedelec began his journey with SCC Soft Computer on January 3, 2017. He relocated to Clearwater, Florida, from the Seattle, Washington area where he served as Executive Leader of Quality and Regulatory Affairs with Fluke Biomedical in Everett, Washington.

A hands-on global leader, Mr. Nedelec joined SCC with more than 25 years’ senior- and executive-management experience in quality management, regulatory affairs, ISO certification, software development, and client support operations. He is an expert in quality system implementation, regulatory inspections, and client loyalty programs.

Mr. Nedelec shared that for many years, “I knew SCC as a competitor in the LIS market, and now I can see from the ‘inside’ why SCC is such a successful company that is so widely respected in our industry. The SCC people I’ve met are knowledgeable, dedicated, and focused on service. They care about clients.

His goals include improving processes (making them simpler) and streamlining systems (making them leaner), and one of the first initiatives he is sponsoring at SCC is the transformation of our Quality System. As SCC gains a stronger foothold in the global laboratory and genetics LIS market, we look forward to sharing the positive results of this initiative.

Your 2017 membership includes a series of free SCC-hosted webinars for SNUG members only. As a SNUG member, you and you colleagues can attend these webinars, view recordings, and suggest topics of interest to you and your facility.

These webinars typically cover a variety of key topics (e.g., Laboratory, LIS Administration, Blood Bank, AP+Genetics, QC, Outreach). We’re working on the schedule, so if you have a topic you’d like to see us present as a one-hour educational webinar, please let us know. This is your webinar series, so we want you to get the most from your time.

What to Expect at SNUG 2017

Four conference tracks are offered for those SNUG attendees who want to focus their attention and learning experience on a specific area.
