SCC Soft Computer is proud to have been recognized over the years for our commitment to excellence in the following areas:


Training Top 10 Hall of Fame

TOP 10 HALL OF FAME In 2008, Training magazine established the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame to recognize those companies that have held Top 10 spots in the Training Top 125 for four consecutive years.

Since then, 15 companies have been inducted into the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame: Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte LLP, Ernst & Young, Farmers Insurance, General Mills, Inc., IBM, KLA-Tencor, KPMG LLC, Microsoft Corporation, Pfizer/Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SCC Soft Computer, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, and Verizon.

Because SCC was ranked in the Training Top 10 for four consecutive years (2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011), the company was invited to join this elite group of industry powerhouses. SCC Soft Computer was inducted into the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame in February 2012, along with computer software giant, Microsoft Corporation.

The Training Top 125 is the prominent annual list of companies that excel at employee training and development and are unsurpassed in harnessing human capital. SCC's Educational Services department has been chosen nine times in 10 years in this annual ranking of the world's top companies for workforce training and leadership development. SCC has been selected based on their employee training initiatives and their ability to address employee turnover in specific departments through training certification. SCC began competing for this award in 2002 and has ranked anywhere from 97th to 51st overall in the Training Top 100.

In 2007, Training increased the field of competitors to 125 and changed the name to the Training Top 125. SCC vaulted up the rankings from their previous ranking of 51st in the Top 100 to 14th in the 2007 Training Top 125.

From 2008 to 2011, SCC was the first and only healthcare IT company to place in the Training Top 5 or the Training Top 10. In fact, SCC is the only healthcare IT company to ever achieve these rankings. SCC's four consecutive Training Top 10 wins earned the company a spot in the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame.

SCC placed 8th in 2008, 3rd in 2009, 9th in 2010, and 4th in 2011. The company has also been recognized by Training for their ability to measure the value of their training program with awards for Top Evaluation/Business Metrics Score for 2010 and 2011. They received a separate Outstanding Training Initiative award in 2011 for the Office Support Department Mentoring Program featuring the EDS Personal Learning Passport.

American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) BEST Awards

BEST Established in 1943, ASTD (the American Society for Training & Development) is the world's largest association dedicated to the training and development field. ASTD's members come from more than 120 countries and connect locally in 125 U.S. chapters, international strategic partners, and global member networks.


BEST SCC was honored with a ranking of 3rd in the American Society for Training & Development's (ASTD) 2009 BEST Awards program.

SCC was among 39 organizations from Canada, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and the United States to receive an ASTD BEST Award in 2009. With their third-place ranking, SCC Soft Computer shared the 2009 ASTD Top 5 Winners' Circle, which included Sun Microsystems (1), MTR Corporation (2), SCC Soft Computer (3), DPR Construction, Inc. (4), and BB&T (5).


ASTD/ISPI OPAL Awards

ASTD ISPI

ASTD/ISPI is a partnership between the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) and the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).

Sponsored by Tampa Bay ISPI and Suncoast ASTD, the OPAL (Outstanding Performance and Learning) Awards recognize the best and brightest learning and performance professionals in the Tampa Bay area.

BEST SCC's Educational Services team has been honored with three ASTD/ISPI OPAL Awards:

Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world's top sales awards, business development awards, contact center awards, and customer service awards.

SCC Soft Computer's Client Services team was presented with three Stevie Awards under three categories in the ninth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. On February 27, 2015, SCC Soft Computer proudly accepted awards in the following three categories:

  • The Silver Stevie Award in the Customer Service Training Team of the Year category for SCC's Preparing Support Individuals for Success program.
  • The Silver Stevie Award in the Innovation in Customer Service - Computer Industries category for SCC's Negotiation of Client Service Level Agreement project.
  • The Bronze Stevie Award in the Customer Service Complaints Team of the Year category for SCC's innovative Re-thinking Service Complaints initiative.

More than 1,900 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in every industry were evaluated. Entries were considered in 54 categories for customer service and contact center achievements, 50 categories for sales and business development achievements, and categories to recognize new products, services, and solution providers. More than 100 members of several specialized judging committees determined the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists.

According to Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards, "this year's Stevie Award winners are the highest rated in the history of the awards, and we congratulate all of the winners on their commitment to excellence and innovation."
