Notes from the show floor | 23rd AABB Annual Meeting (AABB 2019) recap

In October, SCC was an AABB 2019 exhibitor at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. AABB (Advancing
Transfusion and Cellular Therapies Worldwide) is a connected community dedicated to advancing transfusion medicine and
biotherapies, as well as improving lives by making transfusion medicine and biotherapies safe, available, and effective worldwide.
The organization fosters a connected community, promotes the ability of the blood system to meet patient needs, champions the
growth of cellular therapies and other biotherapies, and drives quality and safety in blood and biotherapies.

The AABB Annual Meeting is the must-attend event to learn about cutting-edge research, keep up with the latest technological
advances, and network with like-minded professionals from throughout the world. AABB is committed to providing continuing
education that focuses on optimizing patient and donor care and safety.
During the expo, SCC showcased SoftBank (our blood bank/transfusion services information management system) and SCC’s Blood
®
Services Information Systems Suite . This is our only blood bank show domestically that draws many of our current SoftBank users
®
and clients. It was a busy three days on the show floor, and we had the opportunity to meet many of our clients as well as AABB 2019
attendees. Traffic was high throughout the show, and we were very busy as we showcased many of our new SoftBank v.25.5 features.
Several staff members from our Blood Services product development and R&D teams joined our Public Relations, Field Service, and
Sales team members, and we enjoyed good conversations with clients, prospects, and attendees who stopped by during the expo
for information and product demos. We hosted a large client dinner, and 23 of our current clients were able join us.
