Quarterly Announcements - Q2 2017

From the CEO’s desk

Clearwater, Florida (June 28, 2017) — Gilbert Hakim, SCC’s CEO, is pleased to provide this quarterly update.

It’s hard to believe that we’re already at the end of Q2 2017. It has been a busy year so far, as SCC Soft Computer continues our expansion into international markets, in particular Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. As the world’s largest laboratory and genetics information system software vendor, we continue to be driven to meet new and higher expectations within the global healthcare community. We are excited about the opportunity to continue to meet with the healthcare industry’s top leadership, discuss the future needs of the healthcare marketplace, and position SCC Soft Computer to deliver worldwide solutions that benefit both our domestic and international partners.

Our first client in France is now live. We look forward to reporting additional new client locations throughout Europe and the Middle East in the near future.

Congratulations to the Soft Network Users Group on your 25th anniversary

I would like to offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of SCC’s valued clients for your continued support and for giving SCC the opportunity to be your LIS and genetics information management system solution vendor of choice. Because of you, SCC is setting the standard for healthcare information technology. We continue to be an industry leader because of partnerships with our valued clients. Thank you for choosing SCC Soft Computer as your LIS vendor and for the critical, lifesaving work you perform every day. We congratulate the Soft Network Users Group for a quarter century of progress. We are proud to be on this journey with you and look forward to many years of success.

It was nice to see so many familiar faces at SNUG 2017 in May, and we enjoyed meeting some new friends as well. Of the 116 attendees at SNUG’s 25th annual conference and meeting, a record 49 were first-time attendees. I hope that everyone benefited from four days of educational sessions, hands-on lab access, workshops, and networking events — and were able to bring home at least one new idea, best practice, or lesson learned to help you get the most from your SCC systems.

When the Soft Network Users Group (SNUG) was born back in 1992, SCC’s hope was to have a forum where SCC users could freely discuss SCC’s products with an eye on how we could improve our products to better suit our clients’ needs.

We couldn’t imagine back then how quickly this SCC users group would gel. Indeed, just six years later, the group organized itself into an independent entity that would incorporate as a not-for-profit organization in 1999. Over the years, SNUG has provided an influential voice to represent what SCC users need and want from their laboratory information systems.

Over the past 25 years, it has been a pleasure to watch SNUG become the powerful, proactive, and persuasive organization it is today. We at SCC Soft Computer congratulate the Soft Network Users Group on a quarter century of continuing education, constant product advancement, and collegial friendship. We look forward to continuing this journey of innovation and excellence for many decades to come.

RCM update

Clearwater, Florida (June 28, 2017)—SCC is pleased to provide this update from RCM Enterprise Services (RCM).

According to Mark Droste, Managing Director at RCM Enterprise Services (a division of SCC Soft Computer), “Good business means good medicine. You must have the revenue stream to support your hospital’s mission.” He adds that billing software must be able to pinpoint where money is stalled at every stage of the revenue cycle. “Reimbursement just keeps your doors open,” Mark says, “but to grow your business, you need analytics.”

Mark and two of his industry peers were interviewed by CAP Today for an article in CAP Today’s May 2017 issue (print and online). In this article, you’ll learn why automation and reporting analytics are “must-haves” for your laboratory’s financial health. Read about how deploying a demographic bridge can enable you to extract patient information from a physician’s practice management system—providing clean end-of-day patient insurance data, reducing the need for follow-up, and guaranteeing a faster payment.

Mark Droste is a financial expert in the hospital laboratory sector. His expertise in this sector—and his visionary approach to today’s billing—demonstrates tremendous clarity and insight in this ever-changing and competitive industry.

We hope you enjoy the article. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the ways RCM’s integrated healthcare solutions can optimize your organization’s potential and how XpressUpdate’s advanced feature set addresses declining cash flow by creating a retail approach to getting paid, please contact us at sales@rcm-eservices.com.

RCM’s priority is to make our clients’ business happen in the most efficient and profitable way possible, with minimal capital investment. Your success is our success.
