Quarterly Announcements - Q1 2016

2015 Recap / 2016 Outlook

Clearwater, Florida (January 27, 2016) — Gilbert Hakim, SCC’s CEO, is pleased to provide this quarterly update.

SCC had an action-packed year in 2015 with an increase in both domestic and international projects.  We are turning the calendar page into 2016 with optimism about meeting the continued challenges and opportunities within our growing international client base.

With our expanding global footprint and resulting increase in support staff, we are energized about leveraging these gains across our entire organization to benefit our clients here in North America and around the globe – both within our functionality and support.  Our overseas expansion is enabling SCC to augment our award-winning world-class support to better serve you.

SCC will be rolling out SoftLab® 4.0.8 and our 4.5.4 Suite in early 2016.  We will be strategizing methodologies to ensure that our clients are receiving the level of functionality they’ve come to expect as SCC meets the responsibility of being the world’s largest laboratory and genetics software vendor with more than 1,800 staff members dedicated to LIS development.

We will be launching several new initiatives in 2016 in our continued efforts to anticipate and meet the vision of where healthcare industry experts see the laboratory moving forward—with increasing genetics testing and global information sharing—to ensure that our clients have the information management tools they need to work efficiently, remain competitive, and leverage themselves to maximize the value of their laboratory and genetics information systems.

As we start a new year, I would like to offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of SCC’s valued clients for your continued support and for providing SCC the opportunity to be your LIS and genetics information management system vendor of choice.  SCC would not be where we are today without your confidence in us.  Because of you, SCC is setting the standard for healthcare information technology.  We continue to be an industry leader because of partnerships with our valued clients.  Thank you for choosing SCC Soft Computer as your LIS vendor and for the critical, lifesaving work you perform every day.  We are proud to share this journey with you and look forward to many more years of mutual success.

LIS Administrator (LIS Admin) Training
An e-Learning course from SCC Soft Computer

SCC’s popular LIS Admin class has been converted from an instructor-led class conducted at our corporate headquarters in Florida to a self-directed e-learning course.  To address our clients’ needs, in early 2015 we started introducing elements of the new e-learning course into the existing instructor-led class, and we received excellent feedback that we’ve used in the design of the courseware for this essential class.

This new self-directed e-learning course includes an electronic version of the LIS Admin training manual for all clients who take the course.  The training manual provides reference material and exercises that clients can easily access to reinforce the courseware.  Additionally, this course includes three to six months of SCC-hosted e-mail support.

This course is designed for LIS Administrators, LIS assistants and backups, and key personnel from your site who perform advanced functions. Click here for more information and the course brochure.

SCC’s new LIS Admin e-Learning course is a single purchase that can be utilized by unlimited users within each client facility.  Whether you incorporate a “train the trainer” methodology or enable 24/7 access for your users, there are no additional fees.  Please contact your SCC Client Relationship Manager to request a proposal.
