Soft Network User Group Holds Conference to Continue Product Education for Clients of LIS Leader

April 13, 2007

Clearwater, FL- Soft Network Users Group (SNUG) is presenting its 15th annual conference for users of SCC Soft Computer (SCC) clinical software solutions. The conference, SNUG 2007-Navigating the Future of Healthcare Information Technology, will be held May 21-24, 2007 at the Sheraton Sand Key in Clearwater, Florida, and will provide attendees with exceptional educational opportunities through technical sessions and product demonstrations. The annual conference also enables SNUG members to network with each other and SCC staff in a relaxed tropical island setting.

SNUG was established to promote the free exchange of ideas and suggestions, relating to the applications of SCC Soft Computer laboratory software packages. As a vehicle of communication between users and SCC, SNUG offers assistance to the large international client base.

"Working with a group that has a common goal equals great success to conferences such as this", says Jean Hakim, President, SCC Soft Computer. "This is an opportunity that not many people experience with an ordinary vendor. At SCC we take into consideration what our clients need to make their facilities more functional on a daily basis and use that information towards the development of new products and the enhancement of existing products."

Approximately 300 professionals from hospitals, laboratories, and large integrated delivery networks (IDNs) from across the U.S.A. and Canada are expected to attend the 2007 SNUG conference. This gathering of professionals from the allied healthcare industry offers a full week of informative breakout sessions and workshops presented by SCC employees and SNUG delegates, as well as pre-conference training classes at SCC's Clearwater headquarters. SCC's hands-on Product Lab will run concurrently throughout the conference and will showcase products configured for a multitude of network and client environments. Attendees will have the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat, try out these SCC software applications, and meet with the product architects and designers in the hands-on Product Lab. A tradeshow expo will feature the most practical SCC add-ons as well as healthcare information technology products from third party vendors.

"Attendance at this year's SNUG conference is by far our largest, yet", says Don Keller, SCC's Director of Educational Services and SNUG Conference Director. "The annual conference offers a wide variety of third-party vendors and large networking sessions for both SNUG members and SCC staff. This year's conference will offer a wider variety of vendors, larger networking sessions, and 99 different educational sessions. Each year, we kick off the conference with a motivational keynote speaker, and this year internationally-known humorist, author, and motivational speaker, Judy Carter, will bring her "Laughing Your Way out of Stress" message to the SNUG 2007 opening session on Monday, May 21. There's something for every Soft user at this year's conference."
