SCC Soft Computer® Announces Certification of SoftLab 4.0.7 as EHR Module under ONC 2014 Edition Criteria

January 14, 2014

(Clearwater, FL) January 14 – SCC Soft Computer (SCC) announced today that SoftLab® version 4.0.7 is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as an EHR module on January 10, 2014, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“This certification allows SCC’s SoftLab 4.0.7 clients to meet the meaningful use criteria for sending lab results to public health agencies and to send results to an EHR. In an ongoing effort to enable our clients to meet certain meaningful use criteria, SCC will continue to seek modular meaningful use certification for other products,” said Gilbert Hakim, SCC’s CEO and founder.

The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for hospital technology.

The certificate number for SoftLab version 4.0.7 is CC-2014-100005-1. ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

SoftLab version 4.0.7 meets the following certification criteria:

• 170.314(b)(5) Incorporate Laboratory Tests and Values/Results
• 170.314(b)(6) Transmission of Electronic Laboratory Tests and Values/Results to Ambulatory Providers – Inpatient Setting Only
