Soft Network Users Group (SNUG) Holds its 20th Annual Conference

May 15, 2012

(Clearwater, FL) May 15, 2012 – The Soft Network Users Group (SNUG) is celebrating two decades of continuing education, for users of SCC Soft Computer’s (SCC) clinical laboratory software solutions, May 21-25 at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater, Florida. The theme of this year’s conference, SNUG 2012, is Reflections from the Silver Screen. The conference provides educational opportunities through technical sessions and product demonstrations. Established to promote the free exchange of ideas and suggestions, relating to the applications of SCC Soft Computer’s laboratory software package, SNUG is also a vehicle of communication between users and SCC.

The annual SNUG conference offers unique educational and networking opportunities. More than 300 professionals from hospitals, laboratories, and large integrated delivery networks (IDNs) from across the United States and Canada are expected to attend the 2012 conference. Attendees will spend a full week attending informative breakout sessions and workshops presented by SCC and SNUG delegates, as well as pre-conference training classes at SCC’s headquarters.

The 2012 SNUG conference – the Healthcare Information Technology Summit – will feature a vendor fair of third-party vendors that feature the most practical SCC add-ons. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how these products work with SCC’s information systems and how they can use these tools to boost efficiency.

The opening session keynote speaker, Steve Uzzell, is one of the most outstanding advertising and corporate photographers in America today. After graduating from the University of Missouri Journalism School and active duty, Steve joined the staff of National Geographic magazine as the assistant to the editor. In 1975 he struck out on his own, garnering an impressive collection of awards and gaining an ever-expanding list of appreciative clients who has sent him to the far corners of the world — all fifty states and 30 thirty countries. Along the way, he has photographed two books, Maryland and The View From Sterling Bluff and had editorial work published in over 100 publications. During our 20th anniversary, the Soft Network Users Group is honored to showcase the work of one of America’s premier photographers.
