SCC Soft Computer’s Marketing department is honored with two awards in the MarCom Awards 2011 competition

December 13, 2011

Clearwater, FL—SCC Soft Computer announced today that their Marketing department received both a Gold and a Platinum award in the MarCom Awards 2011 competition.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. This is considered the most respected competition in the industry.

Judges are industry professionals who look for companies whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. There were over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and several other countries in the MarCom Awards 2011 competition.

The MarCom’s prestigious Platinum Award is presented to those entries judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition. Platinum Winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness. SCC’s Marketing department received the Platinum Award for their unique special events brochure, “SNUG 2011 Journal,” which was designed to resemble a pilot’s log as he searched for the mythical land of Shangri-La. This creative collateral was the promotional brochure for SNUG 2011 New Horizons: A Quest for Knowledge, the 19th annual Soft Network Users Group (SNUG) Healthcare Information Technology Summit. The theme was inspired by James Hilton’s 1933 novel, Lost Horizons, and was carried throughout the entire conference, which culminated with a gala banquet, A Night in Shangri-La.

The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. SCC’s Marketing department received the Gold Award for their creative direct mail piece for SNUG 2010 Practical Magic. This creative collateral was used to promote SNUG 2010 Practical Magic: Transforming Ideas into Solutions, the 18th annual SNUG Healthcare Information Technology Summit. Magic and the transformative power of ideas was the overall theme of this conference, which culminated with the annual SNUG banquet, A Night of Illiusion, complete with cirque-style performers.

SCC’s Marketing department is honored to be recognized for their creative, behind-the-scenes work.
