Local Winter Events

As we head into the holiday season, commonly referred to as “the most wonderful time of the year”, we are excited to celebrate with family and friends. We understand holiday plans can be overwhelming, so we have compiled a list of local activities to help you with your holiday planning. SCC Soft Computer understands the importance of sharing memories with family and making new ones within your community, and we hope these local events help get you in the holiday spirit.

Snowcat Ridge

Florida’s first Alpine snow park and Tampa’s newest winter attraction! This park has a 60-foot tall, 400-foot long hill for some family fun tubing. You can also ice skate, play in an igloo, and there is even 5 feet high bunny slope for kids. After having winter fun in the sun you can go to the Alpine Village where you can find local vendors selling food and beverages.

Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park

Florida may be missing the snow, but you can still find an outdoor ice skating rank along the riverfront. You can also find a café and a pop-up market you can explore. These local vendors have great gift ideas ranging from decorations, apparel, handmade toys, dog accessories, and more!

Cost: $17.00 all ages

Enchant Christmas

This is a great place to take your friends and family to look at sparkling light maze and glide across a trail. This is the second adventure they are going on, and this series is the Mischievous Elf.  Here you can find ice skating, live entertainment, games, Santa & Mrs. Claus, and more!

Where: Tropicana Field – 1 Tropicana Dr, Saint Petersburg, FL 33705

When: Open November 25 – January 1

Cost: Starting $35 (adult) and $20 (child) – check out the website for tickets

Christmas Town at Busch Gardens

Take your family for dazzling lights, roller coasters, ice skating performances, and more! There are many winter activities which will keep your family busy and smiling ear-to-ear. While you’re there, keep an eye out for special holiday guests and see Busch Gardens turn into a winter wonderland.

Tampa Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

Make your way down to the Hillsborough River for some family fun holiday event which will light up your world. Boats will be decorated and set sail from the Convention Center and go all the way down to the Sparkman Wharf.

When: Open December 17 at 6:00pm

Cost: Free
