October is a Busy Month for “Champa Bay”

On Tuesday, October 5, the New York Yankees faced rivals Boston Red Sox in the one game American League Wild Card Game during postseason. Boston overtook New York, 6-2, and will move on to the five game Division Series against our home town team, the Tampa Bay Rays, which is set to start on Thursday, October 7, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Alex Cora, Red Sox Manager, made a comment following their win in reference to their upcoming battle with the Rays: “Coming into the season, everybody talked about them being the best team in the big leagues, and we have a huge challenge, but we’re ready for it.” This past year has been legendary in the sports world for Tampa Bay. The Rowdies, Buccaneers, and Lightning all made the playoffs, while the latter two became champions (Lightning two time champs!). Join your fellow Rays fans and Tampa Bay residents by supporting our MLB team as they take on the World Series.

Below are some events in the area you can (responsibly) take part in celebrating the postseason!
