REASONS TO ADD THE TOPIC: TQC - Results Report Custom Result Grid needs extra column to display External Components lot numbers.
Results Report: Cumulative Category Grouped by Order has information regarding External Components and we like this report format filtered for Out of Control results. Unfortunately this report can be many pages and although the External Component lot numbers are available, the information is not displayed in a readily useful manner.

We were looking for a report like the Results Report: Cumulative Category Grouped by QC Item which can display results over a period of time (i.e. single drug parameter) quite nicely in the Custom Result Grid. The suggestion for the option to display the External Component lot number in an additional column makes this information readily available and useful for trending and/or for troubleshooting.

It would be advantageous to readily cross-reference Results and External Components lot numbers. There are multiple ways to obtain the data, but we could not find an efficient way to cross-reference the data.

SCC Evaluation of Enhancement:
Provide the ability to print External Components, their Lot number and expirations dates on the Result Report when grouped by QC item

Current functionality:
The External Component information is printed on the Cumulative Result Report when grouped by Order and in the Single Sheet report. This is possible because these reports are printed on the order level and External Component information is defined on the order when the order is generated. When grouped by QC item, the QC orders and results are listed under the Parameter under each QC item

Proposal:
Instead of adding a column to the results grid as there could be more than one External Component defined on an order such as the parameter control, Mueller Hinton plate, in addition to the individual drugs, add a new field in the Format tab to print the External Component information under each order.
