SCC Soft Computer's SoftLab® Version 4.5.5 Achieves ONC Health IT 2014 Edition Modular EHR Certification from ICSA LabsFebruary 1, 2018 « go back | printer friendly version Clearwater, Florida – February 1, 2018 – SCC Soft Computer’s SoftLab® version 4.5.5 has achieved ONC Health IT 2014 Edition Modular EHR certification, which designates that the software is capable of supporting eligible hospitals with meeting Stage 2 of the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs objectives required by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). SoftLab® version 4.5.5 was certified on December 20, 2017 by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) and is compliant in accordance with applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification. 2014 Edition ONC Health IT Certification is granted to those technologies that are capable of meeting the 2014 Edition criteria developed to support providers and hospitals who wish to attest for Stage 2 of the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs, which focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver higher quality patient care and exchange clinical information securely. The certification number for SoftLab® version 4.5.5 is 140059R02. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The additional types of costs that an eligible hospital would pay to implement this EHR module’s capabilities in order to attempt to meet meaningful use objectives and measures include: - For new clients, SCC provides a perpetual license for desired individual modules and interfaces (instruments, robotics, HIS, HIE, Ref-lab, ELR, etc.). SCC provides chargeable implementation and support and maintenance for the overall system and the modules and interfaces implemented.
- Existing clients may require chargeable SCC upgrade services and training, as well as new or upgraded interfaces and hardware and database upgrades.
