In 2001, one of SCC’s valued clients, St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, received a CIPA Award of Excellence.
The Diagnostic Laboratories of St. Michael’ s Hospital was recognized by CIPA (Canadian Information Productivity Awards) and honored as an organization transformed by information technology.
With the purchase of an automated robotic specimen processing system, St. Michael’s Diagnostic Laboratory became one of the first hospitals in Canada to utilize next generation information management technology.
Coupled with SCC’s Soft Laboratory Information System, St. Michael’s diagnostic lab links chemistry, immunochemistry, nephelometry and toxicology instrumentation to effectively manage information for maximum efficiency.

The Entrepreneur of the Year® (EOY) awards program was created in the United States in a single Midwestern city by Ernst & Young in 1986 to honor entrepreneurs whose ingenuity and perseverance have created and sustained successful, growing business ventures.
